As the radiant sun peeked from the Nyeri skies to pave the way for dawn, the lush greenery of the Nyeri Golf Club set the stage for the Nyeri Ladies Open 2025, a golf tournament that saw 121 lady golfers take to the beautiful course.

At the crack of dawn, the first group of players tee-ed off, with the air filled with excitement and anticipation. Donned in red and white, the splendidly dressed ladies looked fabulous against the backdrop of the picturesque fairways in this much-anticipated tournament that brought together participants from over 22 golf clubs in kenya. 

The camaraderie was palpable, as the lady golfers came together in a spirit forged by not a friendly rivalry but an overriding passion for golf. The management of the Nyeri Club under Chairman Nyaga Nderitu took no chances to ensure that everything ran smoothly, and the guest golfers felt welcome, as the resident golfers also enjoyed themselves.

The work put in by the Ladies Golf Committee, led by Lady Captain Perister Gaitho, was evident. A sumptuous lunch was served to all amidst laughter and joy echoing throughout the day, punctuated by cheers and good vibes.

Off the course, the Nyeri clubhouse was alive with camaraderie. In line with the theme, ‘red and white on the course and elegant off the course’, the lovely ladies did not disappoint. Awards were presented in a colourful ceremony amidst applause and smiles. Not only was this tournament geared to celebrate golfing sportsmanship, but also to foster friendships among women golf enthusiasts.

Overall winner was Stellah Mwangi from the Nyeri Golf Club, who shone the spotlight and made the host club immensely proud. All the ladies who showed up were hailed and commended for showing up and putting their best leg forward, and every swing was celebrated.
