This site keeps cookies to a minimum. This page explains which cookies are used and how you can control them.
What a cookie is
A small file that a website stores in your browser so it can remember something between requests.
Your cookie choice
When the cookie notice appears you can accept or reject the optional cookies. Your answer is recorded in a cookie of its own, nc_consent, which holds nothing but that choice and lasts six months. You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Cookies we set
Only what the site needs: a session or login cookie when staff sign in, a name and email cookie if you leave a comment, a short-lived check that a submitted form came from this site, and the cookie that remembers your answer to the cookie notice.
Statistics
If anonymous analytics are switched on, we record aggregate counts of visits and popular pages. They are not used to identify you and are never shared for advertising. No analytics run before you accept.
Third-party embeds
Some pages embed services that set their own cookies when you use them, for example the Google Map on the contact page, WhatsApp links and our Booking.com listing. Those providers’ policies cover their cookies.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings at any time, and change your choice here using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Blocking the essential ones can stop the login, comment and form features from working.
